Ã山ǿ¼é

Sport plays an important part in the co-curricular life of students at Ã山ǿ¼é and all students are expected to participate in sport throughout their time at Ã山ǿ¼é. All coaches are qualified in their respective sport and, where possible, students will be placed in a team that reflects their ability level.

Ã山ǿ¼é students compete in the Independent Sporting Association for the majority of sports running across two seasons. Our Winter season runs during Terms 2 and 3 over a regular season of 10 weeks. The season culminates in August with the semi’s and finals.  The Summer season runs during Term 4 and 1 over a regular season of 10 weeks, with the semi finals and finals in late February, early March. This is a weekend based competition whereby Ã山ǿ¼é teams play other Independent Schools across NSW.

Whilst sport is not compulsory at the College, students are encouraged to represent Ã山ǿ¼é in their selected sport. Each year the College fields in excess of 100 teams, consisting of only Ã山ǿ¼é students. Representative students have the opportunity to participate in the ISA Representative Teams, then the Combined Independent Schools Team (CIS) and eventually NSW and Australia. Each year the College has a number of State and National representatives in a variety of sports including: basketball, swimming, rugby, tennis and athletics.

Training for each sport is communicated by the coach and depends on the team players are graded into. Training is held on the College grounds.
