For such talented cricketers, their careers have only started relatively recently with Isabella’s first year being in the U13s and Matthew in the U10s. Matthew and Isabella are both all-rounders who come from a cricketing family and have an intense love of the game.
Although they started playing together in junior cricket, they have taken different paths pursuing their passion. Isabella’s career has already seen her participate in 2015/16 - PSSA State Championships, MacKillop; 2018/2019 - U17/18 NSW State Challenge and U17 State Academy; 2018/2019 – (Combined Catholic College’s) All Schools NSW v QLD; and play in Parramatta 1st Grade from 2018 to present. Matthew’s career has seen him participate in 2016/2017 - U14/U15 NSW State Academy; 2017 – NSW CIS; 2017-2019 Green Shield, Parramatta; 2018 to present Parramatta 3rd Grade.
Travelling to England together with the Parramatta Cricket Academy and making Ã山ǿ¼é 1st XI have definitely been highlights for the twins.
The coaches - Mr Fisher and Mr Goodman have said: “It is fantastic to have both Matthew and Isabella playing together; this will probably be one of the last opportunities they can do this competitively. They both possess enormous talent and contribute positively to the team environment. Isabella’s place in the First XI is a wonderful personal achievement along with being a reflection of our College that prides itself on Lasallian Values based around inclusivity and respect. It will be exciting to watch their careers progress during this season and beyond.â€
